What is Clue / Cluedo?
Clue, also known as Cluedo, is a deduction board game where movement supports a larger process of asking questions and ruling out possibilities. Missing dice need not stop an otherwise complete set, but the game has many editions. A replacement should let you match the components actually supplied with your board rather than assume that every release is identical.
How to use the presets
Choose one d6 or two d6 according to your edition, and apply its movement rules to the result. This tool does not decide whether a secret passage, room entry or special card changes the normal procedure. It also does not participate in deduction. The useful output is a movement roll with an explicit dice count, not an automated accusation or a claim to know the hidden solution.
Select the two-dice helper only when your set calls for two dice; do not add a second die merely because the editor allows it.
Practical table tips
- Look at the rules or original component list before selecting one or two dice.
- Keep deductions off a shared dice link. Notes about eliminated suspects do not belong in a public group label.
- Resolve special movement options before rolling. A secret passage may follow a different procedure from ordinary movement.
Clue / Cluedo dice FAQ
Is this the whole Clue game?
No. You need the board, cards, solution envelope and deduction notes.
Which dice count is correct?
Use the count required by your particular edition. Both one-die and two-dice helpers are available.
Can it choose a suspect for me?
You could build a separate random list, but randomness is not deduction and cannot identify the hidden solution.
Edition-specific movement, cards, rooms, accusations and secret information remain with the board game.
Independent, unofficial dice aid. Game names identify the intended use; their publishers do not endorse this page. These original explanations are not a replacement for the rules.
