What is Monopoly?

Monopoly is a property-trading board game where movement drives purchases, rent and encounters with the board's spaces. The standard pair of dice supplies both a movement total and information about doubles. Reporting only the sum loses that second detail. This page keeps the two faces visible, which is useful when the physical dice have disappeared but the board is already set up.

How to use the presets

Use the two-dice preset and add the values for ordinary movement. Check whether the faces match and then apply the appropriate extra-turn, jail or consecutive-doubles rules. The page does not remember a player's earlier turns and therefore cannot decide that a third consecutive double has occurred. Editions with a Speed Die or special mechanics should not be treated as the same two-dice procedure.

AT THE TABLE / A QUICK EXAMPLE

4+4 gives movement eight and a double. The display retains both fours instead of only presenting a large eight.

Monopoly dice FAQ

Does this detect three doubles in a row?

No session history is tracked. Players must remember consecutive doubles and apply the rule.

Can it supply the Speed Die?

This preset contains two standard d6 only, not the specialized Speed Die.

Is the whole board game playable here?

No. You still need the board, property state, money and the rest of the components.

What stays manual

Jail status, ownership, money, doubles history and special-edition dice remain outside the tool.
