Online Dice
1d7 · one choice from 7 outcomes
Seven days, seven prompts, or seven places all fit a D7. The roller returns 1 through 7 directly, leaving you to name the selected option. Monday remains available, despite its public reputation.

Number the days Monday = 1 through Sunday = 7. A 6 selects Saturday. Each day has a one-in-seven chance, approximately 14.29%. If only weekdays belong in your list, a D5 gives the right range directly.
Choose a day for a fictional schedule, select an entry in a small encounter list, or randomize seven practice activities. Use it for choices you have already decided are acceptable.
The mean face is 4. Your fourth weekday is no more likely than the first or last, because a single D7 distributes its weight across the seven entries equally.
Two D7s have 49 ordered pairs but only 13 possible totals, from 2 to 14. Those totals cannot all have equal chances; the central total 8 has seven ways to occur.
Reducing a D20 result to seven outcomes with a remainder is uneven because 20 is not divisible by 7. A direct D7 roll avoids that mismatch. A larger die is not automatically a better way to choose from a shorter list.
