5d2 · 5 separate 2-sided dice
Five yes-or-no beats for a scene ✍️
Five D2 results can give a writing prompt a little rhythm: a clue appears, an obstacle moves, a witness notices. This is a set of five independent binary choices, so repeats are perfectly normal.
🪙 5×D2 Roller — Five Flips, One Decision
Roll 5×D2 when you want a strong majority.
It’s still fast — but now fate has a committee.
Majority rules. Minority provides comedy.
🗳️ Majority & Intensity
Count how many dice show 1 (0–5). That single number becomes an “intensity meter”:
low = calm, high = chaos — or invert it. Your table, your physics.
“How strong is the yes?”
4–5 ones can mean “yes, and it’s loud.” 3 ones can mean “yes, but watch your step.”
Procedural hooks
Assign each die to a detail: smell, sound, witness, clue, complication.
Label the positions sound, footprint, message, witness, and open route. Make 2 mean the detail appears and 1 mean it is absent. Read the whole set before writing; a quiet clue beside an open route can be more interesting than five dramatic discoveries.

💡 Thirty-two combinations, one shared score
Different sets can have the same sum. For a scene generator, the order carries the detail. For a simple intensity score, subtract 5 from the sum to count how many details appeared.
